Konstantinos Galanopoulos

Konstantinos Galanopoulos, is a Professor of Agricultural Economics at the Department of Agricultural Development (Democritus University of Thrace), and Director of the Laboratory of Agricultural Economics.

After studying at the University of Thessaloniki (BSc in Economics), he obtained an MSc in Agricultural and Food Marketing from the University of Wales, UK and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Thessaloniki, Greece.

He teaches courses on agricultural economics, macroeconomic analysis and optimization theory. He is working in the fields of agricultural policy analysis with applications to the agro-food sector and in empirical issues of productivity analysis and livestock management. He has published several peer reviewed papers and has participated in EU research projects (FAIR, FP6 and FP7) as well as many national ones.
