Dr. Peli Plika
Peli Plika holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Archaeology with specialization in Archaeology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She carried on her studies at the International Hellenic University completing a MA in Black Sea Cultural Studies. She is a PhD candidate on Classical Archaeology of the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Ecomonics at the IHU. She was awarded a three-year scholarship from the Onassis Foundation.
Peli Plika has been working for the Greek Ministry of Culture as an archaeologist since 2009, participating in archaeological excavations in Macedonia. She has worked at the 30th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical antiquities, at the Ephorate of antiquities of Kozani and at the Ephorate of antiquities of the city of Thessaloniki. She is a member of the team of the IHU archaeological excavation at the site “ Trapeza of Neo Rysio-Kardia” since 2016.
