The International Hellenic University hosts the Greek Delegation during the 2nd Balkan Physics Olympics held online
On Saturday 24 October 2020, the International Hellenic University hosted the 2nd Balkan Physics Olympics which as held online at the premises of the University in Thermi. Head of the Greek Delegation was Dr Stavros Stavrinides, School of Science and Technology, International Hellenic University.
The event was organized by the University of Craiova and the Balkan Physical Society (member of the European Physical Society), while for Greece by the Union of Greek Physicists.
The competition was held remotely in Craiova, under the auspices of the European Physical Society, the Balkan Physical Union and with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Education and the University of Craiova.
Twelve countries participated in the 2nd Balkan Physics Olympics, with the Greek team winning a bronze medal with the student Anastasia Neraida and an honourable mention of the student Georgios Souchara.
