The tragic train accident in Tempi, near the city of Larissa, has plunged Greek society and the academic community into deep mourning.

In an expression of support, the President and Vice-Presidents of the International Hellenic University (IHU) decided as soon as they were informed of the tragic event to suspend all events and educational activities of the University for Thursday 2 and Friday 3 March 2023.

The members of the academic community of the IHU will be informed about further decisions that the Governing Board will take in relation to the tragic accident, especially since university students are among the victims of the accident.

The academic community of the IHU expresses its deep sadness and support to the families of the victims.
